The design is inspired by the exquisite jewels of Tipu Sultan, the ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore in 1700s. Also known as the Tiger of Mysore, Tipu Sultan was responsible for a new land revenue system which contributed to the growth of the Mysore Silk industry.
