Crafted by Odisha's Chitrakaars (Artists) in the traditional Pattachitra style, these hand-painted Dashavatar cards are made from old cotton saris and natural pigments. Featuring intricate motifs and fine detailing, they are ideal for Ganjifa, poker or display merging art, culture and play in a unique form. 

 

Ganjifa, a historical card game popularized by the Mughals, was played throughout India with each area having its unique form . 

 

The cards are stacked in a Lacquerware, originated in late 16th century. Lacquerware is characterized by floral and mythological motifs hand-painted in vibrant colours on various types of wooden objects.

 

This is definately a perfect gift for a collector or be used as a deck of cards! 

 

Care instructions: Gently clean with a soft, dry cotton cloth.
